Patricia Dyer is a designer, maker, and educator who has explored a diverse range of subjects, materials and processes for research and commercial applications.

Transience and movement are at the centre of my work and have been explored in many forms, from mechanisms and articulation to structure and surface finish, as well as socially and culturally. Through a developed understanding of materials and processes, I select and work with specific materials, drawing on their inherent properties for visual and mechanical characteristics. This has led me on a journey from traditional screen-printed textiles to silversmithing, wood and polymer working and the integration of advanced materials in multi-cloth woven structures.
